"I can't imagine Watergate hearings with subpoenas being unanswered and witnesses refusing to answer questions."

I can. I can't imagine Nixon's lawyers saying, "Don't tell them where your desk is", and I have to work hard to see the DOJ becoming Nixon's defense team.

"What the Dems are doing is stalling so they don't have to impeach him and this will be their legacy "
The Dems are actually in an impeachment investigation. They have used the word "impeachment" as a means to obtain court-ordered cooperation from witnesses. The lawyer arguing Nadler's case is Pelosi's lawyer, not the lead counsel for the Judiciary Committee. I'd rather she use the sgt. at arms, and lock McGahn up in the House "jail" for a few days, but I think Trump would also prefer it.
