Elroy once again you show some sense. That was a pretty good description of the Hong Kong situation.

China agreed to the original return 50 year plan because they didn't want to kill the goose that laid the golden eggs. But the Mainlanders are getting uppity now and mistakenly think they can tromp on the Hong Kongers with impunity.

They can't.

At times I have pondered where to invest and China is tempting but a pack of thieving crooks so other than via Qualcomm I have refrained. Hong Kong is fine as their legal and social norms are British based and high on Virtuous Victorian Values. But China looms over it. Barbarians don't run things well. That's why Jews have had such a hard time over many centuries ... = barbarians want to loot them with envy. Barbarians attack intelligent productive people to rob them and just to attack them.

Lam is a woman in a little bit of authority but is really just a Peking puppet.

Hong Kong should call elections for Scottish independence from China and call for help from the UN and Taiwan and USA.

Hong Kong's original lease was not from the Barbarians in Beijing who murdered their way to power and have held a billion people prisoner. Taiwan could as rightfully claim Hong Kong as well as the rest of China.

Appeasing China's totalitarians is a bad idea.

Japan was blockaded when they started taking over Korea and China. Now China is taking over the south China sea, sundry northern islands, Hong Kong against the will of the people, Taiwan and Tibet.

I guess there's a big problem looming.

Murderous threats against Hong Kong people shows their Tiananmen nature.

HK right at his doorstep and he is getting it wrong. Property tycoons control Hong Kong's land, and affect Hongkongers' chances of ever owning affordable property.

Hong Kong billionaires now singled out as ‘the problem’ underlying protests
