Terry
Drop by more often, I think you'll find less of a circus atmosphere on this thread....
Another interesting note in the news...
The world's largest producer of gold, Anglo American Corp, announced today that they are making plans to cut production by 17% in 1998.
Anglo producxed 9% of the world's output last year, and said that they
are trying to eliminate production that has been made unprofitable by the slump in gold prices.
The article I read went on to quote Graham Birch, who is the manager of the Mercury Asset Mgmt's $300 million mercury Gold Metal & Open Fund as saying, "What we have here are the seeds for a monumental rally."

results show the J/L process effective for increasing the grades in that interval, suggesting there is a refractory component.

Good point Terry. It had occurred to me that it would be possible for refactory clay from a higher level to become intermingled with the sand and gravel. As a matter of fact it probable.

Could also do with the collector used in the assay procedure. Lead is less effective than Cu or Ni. I'm assuming Pb was used in this case. You should also see a small increase in the Au values with a Cu collector.

Also a good point.

I also agree with your comments about Franklin Lake. Any way you look at it FL is a very complex and fascinating geological formation.
