Couple things

1) I maybe wrong but I believe 3Dfx Voodoo also lack the geometry setup engine. Anyway, I won't weight Warp5 too much on OAKT's future prospect.

2) DVD-ROM's sales should pickup by mid-1998. First generation DVD-ROM lacks the ability to read CDR but now the problem is solved and performance is good. Sub-$800/$1000 PC era will slow the wide adoption of DVD-ROM but the trend is irresistable when we already have common standard (DVD-ROM only) and attractive price.

3) IMO, digital VCR, like S-VHS will only give temporary relief to high-end users. DVD is still the way to go. DVD movie titles can be easily bought now. The next problem is the codec which permit DVD recording. CUBE is the leader in this area.

4) See you later today! Good Luck to all of us, can hope OAKT didn't and will not catch the flu :o)
