So far the trend is the trend. It has not been broken. There is a downward trending moving average, and the Bollinger bands have contained all the price variations above and below this downtrending average. Why is everyone so surprised. Uder classic TA, if just using the MA with a trigger, I could see folks doing a lot of in and out trading, but the trend is still down so shorting would give more of an opportunity for profits. If using the BB or both the BB and the MA, for those of us who prefer to be long, rather than move in and out, so far the oil service sector is a pass. But I'm waiting . . . when the prices break out above the upper band and stay that way for a few days, that would to me be the reversal point, unless FA is pointing the opposite way.
