Vlad Vlasnyi , Psychiatric Nurse Practicioner We are entering a very dangerous period. In the past few weeks, the negative News for Trump seems endless. Very simply, things are not going well for Mr. Trump. The economy seem to be souring. The deficit hits 3 trillions and growing. Trump’s best friend, Fox News has just reported that Trump is trailing almost every Democrat running in 2020. Trump is a hard sell even during good economic times. Trump is becoming more and more erratic. Breathing heavily, trying to outscream the helicopter. He seemed to desperately grasping at all of his past slights and grievances that worked for his crowds in the past. He is manic, flip-flopping and contradicting himself more than usual. Picking completely unnecessary fights with Denmark (???)..AND THEN HE suddenly utters, “I’m the chosen one!” Mental illness alone is not enough to impeach Trump. Lincoln, was a deeply troubled man suffering from depression , was our best president. Depression is anger turned inward. Lincoln’s pathology was his mood. Trump’s anger is turned onto the world. It’s important for him to put down others to feel better about himself. His pathology is his personality. This is the case, where mental illness is of grave danger. If this continues in this manner (and he surely will), his pathological behavior will convince more Democrats and even some Republicans to join the impeachment crowd.
