The important point on my post of the OPCO letter from Oct. 1989 (Message 32294773) is that I was between the pioneers that maintained that Li batteries should be used in consumer markets which in 1989 were mostly used in the military (SINGARS). By 1991 over a year later Sony Corp started to use Li-Ion batteries in consumer products and this transition Tadiran refused to implement in cooperation with me and OPCO. All the rest is history.
