TA, this was no accident. if VVUS did happen to get a price quote for their Super Bowl ad last month, they could have just gone back to NBC and said never mind. cost almost nothing. and they would have no obligation to announce anything. and NBC would not announce it either. but they didn't get the ad. we don't know when the NBC refusal occurred. but it would certainly be best for VVUS PR to announce this "news" a few days before Super Bowl, and before the TV kickoff at Pebble Beach Golf. i'll say it again. Leland Wilson and Julian Gangolli are getting a great laugh out of this hoopla. Julian can go and sell another 20 K shares as far as i'm concerned. as long as he abides by the "quiet period" rule. (10 days after earnings 1/15/98 is it?) David

RE: Howard Stern/Rush Limbaugh After calling a million newspapers and radio stations, the best I could do is get a couple of fax numbers in which to contact Howard and Rush. These #'s are for 'fans' to send information to the personalities for radio discussion. Howard Stern's fax - (212) 314-9339 Rush Limbaugh's fax - (212) 563-9166 Rush Limbaugh's voice mail - (800) 282-2882 I will send my own letter on the NBC incident to both parties in hopes of getting a 'little' radio play for Vivus. I hope everyone else does the same. David
