My take on the SLB miss is as follows. From what I've learned on these boards, analysts are in close contact with these companies, constantly updating their estimates. So, a miss by a company like SLB that has its tentacles everywhere in the sector seems to indicate some slowing down at the end of last Q, during the "quiet period". Any thoughts on this?
