True if we were to get to an impeachment, the market would be in real trouble. However, impeachment does not happen overnight........generally speaking. Although I must say the other side is certainly working hard at putting a package together and they have been since day one of this administration.

I don't think so, remember the stock market took off after the Republicans took Congress and power away from Clinton at the end of 1994. (Quite the opposite reaction to the numerous times people floated rumors about Reagan having a heart attack - that always caused a temporary market swoon).

But then again, we would be looking at a Gore tenancy so you may well be right.
