I hope they factor in the soured customers as a result of such a
deal. Access sucks. FM Pro is great, for what it is. But why
trust Oracle to support FM Pro long term, if AAPL has another DB
product? And if that DB product is Access, phthhhht! I see APPL
losing a money-making product and gaining customer ill-will. For
what? To be held hostage to MSFT for one more application. AAPL
has a terrible history of dumping software products that have had
great market acceptance. Each time they have done so, it has hurt
the platform a little bit more. Take a lesson out of the page of
MSFT: don't give a s**t about other software vendors products WRT
those you can sell and make money with on your own.

Just make it easy for those vendors to develop products. When they
start to make $$$, BORG them into Claris. Let Claris grow. Claris
makes $$$. And if five years from now AAPL IS CLARIS, then great.
