Brooks:

MSFT does not have to win big market share (as they did in browsers) to pollute the market for CKFR and everybody else. I'm not saying they will, or even have plans to, attack e-pmt aggressively. But it pays to keep your eye on the $9 billion (cash in the till today) gorilla in the corner. Nothing new.

Regards

I am only going on the theory that everything MS does...or attempts to do...especially on pricing. Giving away this new technology as a free service to Money users...ect...use you own imagination..in how 'creative' they could be with this.

Will bring the DOJ on them faster then you can shake-a-stick. After all they're the #1 paranoia of the Financal Industry...I doubt these guys are the type that would just bend over and take it...ala Netscape.

One things banks don't do is give away things for free.

MS crosses into that territory...or strategy...and the Banks will stick a Fork in Bill Gates & Co....toss him on a plate...and the DOJ will eat them for breakfast.

Too much $$$ at stake to give them any room to tweek this situation to an MS advantage........without a food fight.
