I'm proposing six months from the time anything potentially illegal has been done. Say you have an affair with your boss for three years. Everything's fine, but eventually you become bored with her and end the relationship. By coincidence, you're up for a routine promotion at that time, and oddly enough it's cancelled. In this case you'd have the right to sue--within six months--regardless of the when the affair started.

My problem is with people who try to press their suit years after the fact. Astonishingly, this usually happens when the alleged harrasser becomes famous and/or rich.
