Yes Political risk in the miners then large debt w/ many others I have looked at. Bought HL (after their huge drop on earnings) but they still have way too much debt. Been looking at WPM as another possible silver play but not at any bargain price (20% too high). That's my silver play. Also have accumulated a nice position in GOLD (Barrick Gold) starting Oct 2018.

FWIW have set up a CashApp (parent company Square) in order to transact BitCoin. Still having problems getting my Schwab Debit Card to work on their 'Add Cash' function and Square is looking into it. Initially had some false fraud alerts from both BNY Bank & Schwab probably because I have never used that card.

My plan is to hold some BitCoin and after some research the Square Platform was the best based on fees, they are one of the few where you can Buy Bitcoin and then use their debit card to buy items that draw on your BitCoin account. 1099 report required for all Buy/Sells and Square provides that too.

So yes, I think Square's technology can be disruptive especially if they build it out for the PC (for us old timers that prefer the PC) and can get their transaction/server response down to seconds vs about a minute.

FWIW, their CashApp also provides for certain discounts on retail items bought (w/ the Square debit card and/or the CashApp) that range from 5%-15% including WholeFoods, Starbucks, and many different restaurants. That could be a good promotional thing to draw in new customers. It's called their "Boost" program.

I think their platform could eventually replace the typical credit card some day.
