Tom,

I did grab back the 500 at 135.625, a little higher than I wanted but with the gift from the doj, a good move. Now if csco and brk will cooperate, and the cap. equips can move 10-15%..... I'll be set for a long while after this mad scramble since Sept.

As you see from the earlier post, the real e will be 4.40 for fiscal year. This was supposed to be the "slow " year,ie, no big product roll-outs due to the delay in NT and WIN 98. Then the Back Office upgrade will occur, then greater scalablity, the final nail, in 2000. So good momentum for 1.5 years, then a pause before decimating the industry in 2000-2001. Price could hit 400 in 2002.

Do you see any improvement in ORCL's products or service in the past month? Did you see the letter posted on the intc thread within the week?

Microsofts COO was on CNBC this morning and said that Win98 will ship on schedule Q2 this year. Also said that the company will continue to fight in the courts for the right to integrate new features into the OS. They've got my full support in their efforts.

Tom,

Interesting discussions last night on the other msft thread. Very close to pro communist propaganda being spewed by a nscp employee.

This is what it has come to. MSFT stance has been that their competitors are being distracted by these legal maneuverings, that they can't compete well when they are looking for corporate welfare, and the competitions hatred for Gates is destroying their focus. Meanwhile, I can tell you with absolute certainty, MSFT's employees have had an "us aganst the world" mentality driving them to perform at an extraordinary level for the past 3 years.

I don't see any of this changing until the war is absolutely over and MSFT can declare victory. Never has a company benefited so much by their competitors horrendous management skills.Only ORCL and SUNW have a shot, and their management is consumed with beating Gates, and ORCL clearly has it's eye off the ball.

MSFT's stock and business will continue to amaze non-investors.

By the way,one of the regulars on the "msft vs. nscp" thread, and a regular defender of nscp, was telling people about the wonders of BRE-X 1 year ago. It was fascinating going through those old posts, but even more interesting to see that many people never learn.
