<A> Winstar Commun/Midcom Commun-2: To Add To Winstar '98 EBITDA NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Winstar Communications Inc. (WCII) completed the acquisition of the assets of Midcom Communications Inc. (MCCIQ) for $92 million. In a press release Thursday, Winstar said Southfield, Mich.-based Midcom Communications is a national long distance and frame relay provider that is in bankruptcy proceedings. Winstar said Dec. 17 the Midcom acquisition would add to its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 1998 and beyond. WinStar Communications Inc. is a national local communications company.
