I would have picked CM and TD as most oversold, but I haven't done much homework with the banks lately, and even if I had it wouldn't matter much, I've been wrong before, along with every analyst out there. My first four months with this computer were devoted to moving money between banks, and for all the effort I might as well have bought a fixed package of them and focussed on how to spend the dividend cheques. Two years ago I had a full set, with varying amounts of the big 5 along with a lot of LB and CWB and a little NA. Only CWB out-performed significantly, and now it won't fall so I can get back in.

Asian exposure is a big concern lately, but imho is not that big a deal as no major bank has a large percentage of portfolio in SEA.

Imho commodities are more oversold than our banks at this point, so that's where my effort and money is going. I'd be interested to hear comparisons from others, though ......... cheers ........... marcos

On Jan 10- Globe and mail had a section called "looking for value". there NA (price 22.60) and RY (price 76.60) were recommended based on the following: Share price is less than 2 x book value and less than 20x earnings. Just for information only.
