<<Has anybody heard of any really new product coming either from NSCP
or MSFT in 1998?>>

Microsofts COO was on CNBC this morning and said that Windows98 WILL ship on schedule Q2 this year. Of course I'm sure that you will say that it's not a new product, just enhanced garbage bloatware <g>.

No, my first thought is it really wasn't all that hard to remove IE, was it? This being Q1 already.

Now since they won't have IE in it, I wonder how much of my list of suggestions from a few weeks ago for alternative features in Win98 will be included. (Not many, I bet - they would be too much like work.)

Really, how much different will this release be from, say, a service pack, the latest drivers, plus inclusion of a couple of formerly for-pay features like plus.
