How so? Do you believe it ethical to seek government handouts or favors? Is it ethical for a government to coercively take money from one individual to hand to another? Is it not more ethical to serve one's self than serve the State? Isn't rational self-interest morally superior than coercive altruism, which is morally corrupt?

The original quote of JFK's (Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country) was highly UNethical: you shouldn't work for the State, and the State shouldn't work for you except to protect inalienable rights. JFK's statement was actually anti-American too, if you define "Americanism" as the ideas an philosophies that stood behind the creation of the Declaration of Independence.
