OFF TOPIC I thought this was the regular Cymer thread when I posted this. Let's keep this thread all news thanks.

Tam,

462 is an estimate of how many DUV steppers will ship in '98. It takes four to six months to integrate an excimer laser with its stepper or step and scan unit, so those that ship in the first part '99 will require their lasers to have been shipped in '98. The ratio of lasers to steppers shipping in '98 is greater than one and is more likely to be in the 1.25 to 1.4 range.

Hope this helps,

Bob

ASMLF - what a punishment ? (-9.5)

For a company that has put out a splendid earnings report and did better the analysts estimates, the result is a near TEN point debacle in its equity. No analyst has expressed any doubt about this company's ability nor the earnings

I fail to understand the market logic here.
