I wouldn't short SYBS because its a takeover candidate, being one of the few databases with any name recognition. Its price is already depressed anyway.

sybs has strong volume.. i'll tell ya that much..
i don't know much about their products, etc.. there are two ways i short sell.. one is based on tons of research and the other is technically overbought.or special situation short.. a stock with no merit rises rapidly on little if any news.. because of the potential losses.. i stay away {most of the time} from stocks with less than 10 million shares outstanding.. i like to see @ least 250k shares average volume..and generally near it alltime high..
sybs is something for me to look into.. as it is liquid..
it's just difficult to judge because by the time i figure it out.. it will probably consolidate..{they usually do.. and then you wait for the next trip.. gern was an example..had watched it last year.. missed it.. and it flashe across my screen thanks to my friend lee.. and then i waited and shorted near the high..
shorting is extremely dangerous.. must be prepared to average up..
averaging down is twice as risky..
anyway.. what price would you pay to go long sybs?
that would give you an idea of where you would want the price to "correct" to..
