It pleases me to see many people coming to understand that the trade war is really about 5G.
Huawei wasn't a national security threat. We know this because it was banned one day and unbanned the next, thus proving that every word Trump and a complacent media said about Huawei was false.

When I joined SI I didn't see anyone make the claim of China beating us with 5G. Now, some in this forum say I'm a troll for saying something so obvious. In fact, just about everyone said being #2 or 3 wasn't important and then gave examples of the US being behind South Korea with 4G etc. The Qcom forum was great with this claim. Their "engineer" was okay with us being behind SK.

My point is simple. 5G is bigger than the Internet and the Industrial Revolution combined. Being #2 would be the same as being #2 in developing the bomb during WW2.

Giving tax cuts to donors didn't help fix this problem.
Putting tariffs on China won't stop it either.

Where will the most money from 5G come from? Will it be phones, media, videos? No. It's industrial 5G. Ask the people on SI what that is. They'll scurry to Google to figure out what it is and/or why it'll generate so much money.
