The big news is that it looks like the Eagles will have their key players who seemed to be in some kind of jeopardy of missing Sunday’s game. Such players include starting right guard Brandon Brooks (!), starting wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and starting defensive end Derek Barnett. All three guys were full participants in Friday’s practice and they aren’t listed as questionable so they should be playing. That’s great news for the Eagles. It’s also surprising Brooks is ready to go less than nine months after suffering an Achilles injury back in mid-January. It’s also great news that recovering players like Fletcher Cox, Ronald Darby, Nigel Bradham, and Rodney McLeod weren’t even on the injury report at all this week. Now, we’ll see if those guys (and the other trio above) are fully effective on Sunday. And we’ll also see if the Eagles manage their playing time. For now, though, it’s good to know the team is close to full strength. No surprises with the three players ruled out: Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nate Sudfeld, and Jordan Mailata. None of them practiced this week. Grugier-Hill is expected to miss a few more weeks as he recovers from his Grade 3 MCL sprain. His absence likely means Zach Brown will see a good chunk of playing time next to Nigel Bradham. Sudfeld could be out for a couple more weeks as he recovers from his wrist injury. Josh McCown will be the only healthy quarterback behind Carson Wentz. Mailata isn’t likely to be active even when he’s healthy so his injury hardly changes much. Mailata is still week-to-week but he seems to be coming along a bit.
