Just dropped in to share my humble opinion about our leader. I think Mel Brooks said it best in Blazing Saddles "the affair of state must take precedence over the affairs of state." Seriously...I've been hearing people "jumping" to conclusions on all sides. I am amazed at some of the remarks made toward the investigator Mr. Star. Pro Clintonites are saying "why is he sticking his nose into this area?" First off..he did do everything by the book..if he hadn't Janet Reno and the three judges would not have given him permission to go forward. Secondly...WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY...if a person were being investigated for selling narcotics and evidence turns up they killed someone..would we have the same opnion? I think people like our president are TOTALLY accountable to us...I would feel very comfortable having someone monitoring (ie. babysitting) the president 24 hours a day if that's what it would take to ensure he is focusing on the problems of the country..and to a greater extent..the WORLD. This IS the most powerful man on earth (at least by theory.) As for the movtives of the lady doing the taping...I know a number of people who tape a lot of their calls. I don't necessarily care for it..but in this day and age..I understand it. Again, there are those who are questioning her motives instead of what MAY be revealed soon. In regard to the president...let him have his say once everything has been investigated and released. I don't like Mr. Clinton..but he deserves the same protection any of us would want. Regardless of what comes out..at least one head will roll...either Mr. Clinton's or Mr. Star's...AND justifiably so. T.R.
