They are purely a political tool for the bankers to achieve their own enrichment.
Over 100 years of economic progress suggests otherwise.

The dollar remains the world's reserve currency. There are reasons why it is still the most trusted and reliable currency in the world, and the Fed, flawed as it is, factors into it.

I personally think things will correct itself, just like it always has. If inflation is manipulated, and if our federal government continues racking up debt like a credit card with no limit, eventually confidence in the dollar will be shaken, and the motivation to fix it will naturally come about.

And if not, technology like cryptocurrencies can rise up and replace the dollar.

Or we can just go back to the gold standard ...
