Tulvio, number of lasers ordered in 1998 may be different from the number of steppers to be shipped during 1998. Most of lasers ordered in 1998 will be for steppers that will be shipped in 1999.

I think CYMI will ship 500+ lasers in 1998.

Tulvio, this projected number of deep-UV steppers is taken directly from the morgan stanley report on ASMLF and may differ from ASMLF's views and/or Cymer's and/or VSLI's and/or Dataquest's. Cymer's projection of approximately 600 lasers in 1998 may be less now relative to pushouts, but will more than likely still exceed 500 next year.
