Inode, I never thought Trump would build a lasting legacy of conservatism and economic prosperity, and I still don't. I only think of him as the right's desperate attempt to hold off the so-called "blue tide" of socialism. Sorry to be pessimistic, but that's exactly where I see society headed. This is why, no matter how much I believe the left is worse, I cannot support Trump, because every excuse I make for his personal shortcomings, every excuse I make for his statism and his ego, will be turned back around on me when the Democrats eventually take control over government and our lives. How do I know this? Because Trump is exactly that to the left. He has taken every single barb, every single attack they have leveled against conservatives, and turned it around back at them.
