Maybe they should try protecting landlords instead. Normally, punishing something, such as providing rooms to rent, means less of it available and higher prices. What gets rewarded gets done. So cutting taxes on renting and eliminating regulations will mean more of it.

Those protesting in HK on the other side of those who would be protesting in say SF? Yet those in HK want affordable housing too just believe in capitalism and the free market perspective?
