---- off subject-- Regardless of Starr's motives, the point to resolve is "did clinton tell MS XXXX to lie under oath?" A lot of other presidents could also be called sleaze. There is no law against that any more than there is against "Womanizing" or "Lusting after". We expect our presidents to be more discreet. Once the president is a lame duck however, does he really care? I think we expect to much to think that presidents and other elected officials should have better ethics and morals than the rest of us. I guess it may come down to what do we expect of a political "Leader". I think your scenario is plausible. In any case this is to much attention to a minor problem when we have Iraq and Asia and Mid east and Euro and ....... Back to Silicon Investor RW
