Tom: I think when the sentiment is better, you will recover, at least for most part. Stock market is cyclical although I only have 15-month investment history. I don't have China ADRs, or Hong Kong stocks, but I also lost a lot of money since last Oct. Before the end of last Oct. I had $30K in proft, but a month later, the stock I bought (QNTM) dropped about 50%. I realized $30k loss to offset the gain last year. Now I still have over $30k paper loss. This time I really learnt my lessons.
