If I had to bet, I’d say you’re right... but my inclination is to, perhaps, overestimate the opposition, rather than underestimate. One big unknown is what the young people will do. Will they come out and vote? They seem pretty seriously brainwashed - and besides, they may have some very practical, “vested” interests for turning Left. A young person may think “Those politician morons entrapped me into borrowing for college more than I could afford. Rather than spend my life being knee capped by debts, let me vote for whichever SOB will promise to cancel them. And then we shall see”. Unfortunately, that would be a rational economic decision. Other people may simply want “change”. Why? I don’t know, but that’s how people are. Others may feel that they’ve been dealt a poor hand, and may hope to get their “fair share” through socialism. There are many deep currents out there.
