Addi:

I am a lurker here....let's hope you are right....and the predictions for the upcoming quarters come true. I am more concerned about those than the earnings.

Addi,

You had a brilliant projection...certainly more accurate than either Tom Kurlak of Merrill Lynch or Lehman. Now lets see how well the other analysts can view these numbers and maybe they will increase their ratings on LSI.... or is there an ego problem b/c an engineer/parttime investor can provide a more accurate analysis then they can.<g>

Good Luck Trading

I don't know if you are referring to any of my previous comments here, but I still am of the opinion that LSI has been, and in all likelihood will continue to be, erratic with regard to earnings.

In some ways, it is the very nature of the business that causes the earnings to be erratic. Every 3 or 4 years, new fabs have to be built and that implies a huge cost outlay. When you come to think of it, this begins to look more like the automobile industry, in fact!

So LSI could well be called, say, "the Chrysler of the semiconductor industry" :-). Please don't think that I am trying to throw cold water on your face on what appears to be a joyous day, but that is the reality, like it or not.

Dipy.

Addi,

I must agree with you about Lehman, as I was thinking the same thing
when I saw the .23 cents figure. Weren't they the ones who said that
LSI mgt guided them lower for the 4th qtr? And something like
estimates of .22 cents were unrealistically high?

They're either way off with their forecasting or purposefully
misguided on the downside. I can't wait for their next LSI report,
which should be any day now. Probably some garbage about unexpected
strength in LSI's 4th qtr.

This report should alleviate fears of those waiting to get into LSI
for longer term. Wouldn't be surprised to see LSI unleashed now and
start drifting back up to $30.

Good luck all,

John Dodson
