I don’t think the IG had the entire story Admittedly, being a Trump appointee, suspecting he doesn't have the slightest clue how to do his job is a natural suspicion. This guy seems to be actually competent and not just a toady. A competent IG would have a very complete picture before taking the actions he did. Remember, he took the very unusual action of going to Congress with as much information as he was allowed to. You are right, though. We don't have anything but rumors. And the fact that the DOJ took the unusual step of getting involved and pressured the acting head of the DNI to engage in a coverup. Shades of Nixon...
