It wasn't just LA.

In the late 1970s, I flew in and out of Houston a couple of times a year. If you looked out the window, you could see when you passed through this bronze layer and the sky turned noticeably bluer.

If you looked at satellite photos of Texas, you could see cloudy patches over Houston, DFW and Austin/San Antonio. All interconnected with jet contrails.

Those who say the EPA is useless can just eat shit and die.

You can still see the smog today. It's not as bad, but it's there. You can see it coming down from the mountains to the east of LA. It's trapped by the mountains and the breeze off the ocean.
