According to Levine, Jarrett William Smith discussed his bomb-making ability on a Facebook group chat with Craig Lang, an American who previously traveled to the Ukraine in order to fight with another far-right organization.

Lang was dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Army after attempting to murder his wife. He received a seven-month jail sentence. After losing a series of jobs after that, Lang eventually went to fight with the fascist-adjacent Right Sector in Ukraine.

Smith and Lang had allegedly been in contact since 2016. In December 2018, Smith allegedly told Lang: “Oh yeah, I got knowledge of IEDs for days. We can make cell phone IEDs in the style of the Afghans. I can teach you that.”

In August of this year, Smith allegedly spoke with an informant working for the FBI. The details of that conversation allegedly concerned a planned attack inside the United States, Smith’s search for fellow right-wing “radicals” and possibly murdering anti-fascists.

Concerning the plot against the news outlet, Smith allegedly said:

A large vehicle bomb. Fill a vehicle full of [explosives] then fill a ping pong ball with [commonly available chemical] via drilling then injection. Put the ball in the tank of the vehicle and leave. 30 minutes later, BOOM.

On September 20, Smith allegedly engaged in an encrypted conversation with an undercover FBI agent via the Telegram app. The alleged exchange is as follows:

FBI: You got anyone down in Texas that would be a good fit for fire, destruction and death?
Smith: Outside of Beto? I don’t know enough people that would be relevant enough to cause a change if they died.

FBI Arrests RIGHT WING TRUMPTARD TERRORIST Over Alleged Plot To Bomb CNN, Antifa, Beto O'Rourke.

The soldier allegedly discussed traveling to Ukraine to join an extremist group.
By Antonia Blumberg and Ryan J. Reilly

The FBI has arrested a U.S. Army infantry soldier on a weapon of mass destruction charge after he reportedly discussed a plotting to bomb a major U.S. news network.

Jarrett William Smith, a 24-year-old private first class infantry soldier who was trained in combat and tactical operations and stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas, was charged with one count of distributing information related to explosives and weapons of mass destruction. FBI Special Agent Bradon LaMar wrote in an affidavit that Smith had disseminated information on building improvised explosive devices and had “spoken about his desire to travel to Ukraine to fight with the Ukraine-based violent far-right paramilitary group, Azov Battalion.”

Before he joined the military in 2017, Smith reportedly connected with Craig Lang, who had traveled to Ukraine to fight with another right-wing group called Right Sector. In late 2018, Smith allegedly wrote about his ability to make cell phone IEDs. Then, last month, Smith discussed a plan to conduct an attack in the United States with a FBI confidential source. Smith, the FBI said, talked with the informant “about killing members of the far left group, Antifa, as well as destroying nearby cell towers or [a] local news station.” He also suggested bombing the headquarters of a “major American news network.”

Then, in a discussion on the app Telegram with an FBI undercover employee, Smith reportedly offered instructions on building a IED, though the FBI affidavit also says that some of the instructions would not create a “viable explosive device.”

The undercover FBI employee solicited Smith to suggest potential targets for “fire, destruction and death.” Smith allegedly offered up the name Beto O’Rourke, a former congressman from Texas and current Democratic presidential candidate. In a subsequent interview, Smith reportedly admitted to providing information on explosive devices in an attempt to cause “chaos.”

Domestic terrorism, which has caused more deaths than foreign terrorism in the U.S. in recent years, has proved a difficult challenge for federal law enforcement, which lacks tools to go after potential acts of terror inspired by designated foreign terrorist organizations like the Islamic State. FBI Director Chris Wray told lawmakers in July that the FBI had been involved in 100 domestic terrorism arrests in the first nine months of the 2019 fiscal year.

TERRORIST TRUMPTARD U.S. soldier accused of planning to build bomb, kill activists, attack news network.
myfox8.com
FORT RILEY, Kan. -- A soldier with the U.S. Army is accused of posting bomb making instructions online, planning to bomb a news network and kill activists, according to a criminal complaint, the Associated Press reports.

Jerrett William Smith, 24, is a private first-class infantry soldier stationed at Fort Riley.

He was charged with one count of distributing information related to explosives and weapons of mass destruction.

He talked about how to build a cellphone triggered bomb and his plans to kill people associated with Antifa, prosecutors say.

Court papers allege that one of his suggested targets was an unidentified news network and he talked about using a car bomb to attack the network.

The complaint says Smith posted in an online forum and spoke with a confidential source in August, looking for more "radicals" like himself to organize an attack in the U.S.

His stated motive was causing "chaos," investigators say he told them in an interview before his arrest.
