TO ALL: After seeing the numbers, I think the market over reacted. KE said the 2 cent short fall was due to Asia.

Earnings for the year was 42 cents with income of 115 million. The p/e ratio is therefore: 9/0.42 = 21.43. Seems to me that a growth company should trade at a greater p/e than 21. I for one think we will see the stock move up after some initial selling that may occur tomorrow morning.

The important thing is that IOM continue to grow and keep competition at bay.

Comments appreciated.

Stock Bull

PS: For those that stayed in the stock, this is not the time to sell...IMO. Not so sure I would buy until the stock settles down.

Zak, i'm going to listen to the CC before i make up my mind, but from a quick look at the report things are not as bad as some people are making them out to be.

Best quarter ever no matter how you look at it. Earnings growth is much higher than the PE.

As you pointed out: "...it seems that if they had kept their SG&A and R&D expenses to the same level as last year, they would have met estimates..." Yeah, that's what will grow earnings in the future, so have no problem with that.

As it stands now, i am not too happy, but not even thinking about selling. i have to listen to the CC. Maybe time to buy more. After hours trades have no relation to what happens in the morning.

But, if you see a block size at the bid **,144 tomorrow, that me waving bye bye.

Zakrosian. Intel beats the estimates after they were revised, but missed the original estimates. No reaction. Ibm grows at a rate of about 4 percent. Reaction not too heavy. Iomega misses original, never lowered estimates by one penny, earnings only grow 77%. So they drop 30%. Come on. This is ridiculous. Fundamentals are okay.
I bought this one on april 1 97 (really, never realised it would become such a joke though) , and still plan on keeping it for a long, long time. If this stupid ride down continuesm I'll even buy more.
Btw, Tom Carroll, I'd love to hear your opinion on this one. Sorry if you already were here, I'm still 200 posts behind.

Regards, Tom
