Thank's for your views on VFF. This was one that was suggested on another thread and I like the sector. I agree that these JV's can be Good and Bad especially how they are managed and/or if they are not an active partner.

Being in the produce business, it's possible they had some problems w/ production and/or a crop was damaged by outside events.

My position is small, just enough for me to track their earnings. Will see if they can deliver that $0.85/share next year.

Armanino Foods (AMNF) is a micro/small cap food stock mentioned here several years ago and has turned out to be one of my larger gainers. My average cost is around $0.70/share and this company is second generation family owned. They have also paid a dividend ever since I have owned them.
They manufacture pesto and other fresh italian products. My first buys were in 2010 so looks like 9 years and stock going strong and growing.

I am looking for more of these and thought VFF may/could (w/ time) stabilize their earnings and growth similar to what AMNF has done.
