Fortunately I'm 12 miles from Lake Michigan.

It delays our springs and moderates of winters slightly.

Of course when we get Lake effect snow (not often as it takes an unusual easterly wind), it makes for great cross country skiing and snowmobiling without having to drive to upper Wisconsin or Michigan.

I talk smart and keep my house in Houston.(smile)
