Honda...good choice!

I have an 8.5 kw unit with a 16 hp Honda Vtwin motor. Use it for welding, running well pumps. I swear by Honda at this point.

I had endless troubles with the 2 cycle weed trimmers, brush cutters...wouldn't start, needed constant maintenance. Even though I only ran non-ethanol gas. Ethanol tears those small engines up. Ruins seals. So switched to a Honda 4 cycle weed trimmer. Even after a winter off in storage, it starts right up. I'm virtually all Honda at this point. Nothing more frustrating then needing to get work done and spending an hour at the start trying to get the machine to run .

Hi Kirk,

Good Move.

I have a Kohler generator that I've used every time we've endured a hurricane.

After every use, I drain out the gas - non ethanol is the best, and run it dry.

I ran it 24 hours a day for 9 days straight, back when we lost power for that long in Houston.

Kept both of my neighbors fridges and freezers chilled.

Next we both need to buy some claymores, I'll be ready when the libs come for my guns.
