MP4 H.264 is the industry standard. Its widely used. Why do you support a Russian format?

I like MKV, but strictly speaking MKV is not a video format. MKV is a type of container that may include other containers which may include other containers, which... Ultimately the video and audio that resides in the end will be a standard format such as MP4, AVI, etc.

All my video conversions are to 29.97 frames per second (FPS).

I definitely agree with that.

I use MKV with Handbrake.
