Although she is naturally upset; in the end, her experiences in Washington and abroad may make her realize that she can be an independent woman. She's always been an independent woman. When he was governor of Arkansas it was she who was the family breadwinner. I think they have a functional professional relationship, and respect each other mutually on that level. If she'd wanted out, she'd have had no problem supporting Chelsea even without his help. This is her choice.
