On the other hand it is considered a MAJOR PROBLEM to have the affairs made public. As you may know, I live in Italy. Here many politicians have mistresses, and everyone knows about it. In that sense, their affairs are "public". BUT the press doesn't report on this stuff, rightly believing that it has nothing to do with their public roles.

Well I'm off for the evening...can't wait to get home and watch all the new (old) news they'll have on the saga of wee willy, pj hooker and that polack girl (I can say that...I'm part Polish)... This is better than Dallas, the Soaps or maybe even WCW WRESTLING... wow..I'm glad I said that..Thursday Night Thunder is on.... AND..two episodes of Seinfeld...yes, there is a God! Tom, I have been watching a lot of news coverage these last couple of days, and have not heard any discussion of Starr fabricating any information. As you will recall, he went to Janet Reno, and then a panel of three federal judges okayed the wiretap. Monica's attorney has arrived in Washington, and he may be trying to get tomorrow's deposition in the Jones case postponed until he can meet with Starr. Monica MUST plead the fifth in the Jones deposition, because she has told two stories which contradict each other, and so obviously one is a lie. She cannot be granted immunity in the Jones case, but she could be in the Starr's investigation. Then she could not plead the fifth, and would have to testify under oath whether she did or did not have the affair. If she refuses, Starr can have her jailed until she decides to talk. I saw a clip from the Jay Leno show last night--very funny. He is saying, "Only Clinton would try to divert attention from a sex scandal by having another one!"
