That chart is connected to the following chart of the Earth's magnetic field strength during the Holocene era. This board is the only place showing the two. 3000 years ago, when the stairstep GSmax/min downtrend in temperatures began, magnetosphere strength began declining. The grand solar max/min cycle is a secondary wave on a much larger wave if this correlation has any causation attributable to it. The cosmic ray/cooling connection is confirming evidence of causation. It's why I suspect that the GSM is just the insult added++ to the injury of the magnetic pole shift.
