Hello! Jack Arnold,

With only one more official business day remaining
( excluding the weekend!)--this may very well be the last time that the "CVIA SHAREHOLDER NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH" will be able to pass on our thoughts prior to your next series of informative announcements! ( At least that is the hope from most of us, in my own opinion!).

We realize that you are in the negotiating company of several financial, and entrepreneurial individuals, whom I would imagine are all proven leaders in their own right!

Nowadays Friday has become considered as casual Friday, in many business environments! By this I mean that the company or corporate dress code is put on hold and some companies allow their employee's the opportunity to dress on a more casual basis for the Friday, as opposed to a more specific business attire established with in the companies " Corporate Identity!"

I am not judging this "Casual Friday" concept, nor will I indicate whether I am in favour of it or not! ( I have personally been involved on both sides of it in previous business environments!).

There are many positives for having a more casual attire for Friday, especially where it is an environment where it's employee's are expected to dress on a more formal basis through out the work week!

One obvious benefit for the employee's is that it could provide a more relaxed and motivating environment, for them, and they get a chance to interact with all their peers at work ( including management) in a more relaxed/informal scenario!

I may be totally and completely way off track here Jack, but please bare with me and hear me out!

Assuming that your meetings and negotiations are progressing well, and tomorrow will determine the final decisions, next steps, and signing of the official and agreed to documents! Here is some negotiating advise that I would like to share!!!! ( I realize that you are already aware of it, and have probably been doing precisely what I am about to mention!).

Here it goes!!!

Assuming that tomorrow's meetings will continue to host the same "high powered/ high profiled " individuals that you feel are going to help resurect CVIA from the basement to the penthouse suite, then please consider the following for your sessions tomorrow!

Do not let anyone involved in your negotiation process tomorrow, or for that matter at any time during the weekend, allow you to get yourself in a relaxed casual Friday atmosphere! WHY?--Because this is sometimes a very tactful negotiation ploy/ technique or strategy, in getting serious business participants, allowing them the opportunity to get their determined negotiation efforts, somewhat sidetracked, with the friendly happy go lucky "Hooray! It's Friday!" type of atmosphere!

Jack! If all the other merger participants want to have a casual Friday atmosphere tomorrow, by all means let them!!! But I would suggest that this will be an opportunity for you to take them by storm, and showing up tomorrow morning, sharper than a "tack!" dressed in your sharpest business attire, presenting the image of a President of a company that it's shares trade in the $100. per share range!

If you come in , looking the most business like, you will probably feel the most business focussed individual in the meeting/ negotiations, and as they sit casually dressed sipping their morning coffee and eating their day old donuts, our fearless leader Mr. Jack Arnold, will steal the negotiating show, and increase his chances of maximizing the potential value for all the CVIA Shareholders!

Jack! Be Firm But Fair! And by all means "BLOW THE DOORS OFF"

I imagine that you have realized by now that we have been sensitive to your request , in not communicating with you this past week! In efforts to allow you the time and space required to do the right thing!!!

This week your CVIA supporters on this thread have been patient and
have tried to share/ express some encouragement and supportive dialogue, that we hope you have had an opportunity to read and think about!

Although we have practiced "Patience" ( I believe second to none!)
Come Monday, you are probably aware that the loyal CVIA Shareholders and Thread Followers are going to be expecting a very informative and detailed update, as to the merger and acquistion developments, especially the details of the activities and agreements that have taken place over this past week!

If an official CVIA/WOTD announcemet will not be released on Monday January 26th., 1998, then please advise us on Monday when we can expect to hear the details!

In closing! I am of the opinion that your efforts ( from the very start) have been forthright and truly in the best interests of all CVIA Shareholders! Those are the factors that I believe have provided the CVIA Thread Participants and Shareholders a reason for hope, and also allowed them to support your efforts in a positive and productive way! ( Like no other that I have personally experienced!---Just my own opinion!)

The jury will be out soon! We are expecting a "GREAT VERDICT!"
( Just my own opinion)

I would also plead with you Jack! That you consider the frustration level of the CVIA Shareholders that have supported your efforts through thick and thin---when putting together the details of the merger/acquisition activites!-----At this point in time, what we don't need is a somewhat vague news release that brings out more potential questions and shareholder's concerns! In your best efforts I am requesting that you simply give us the straight goods, so that each CVIA Shareholder can best decide how to proceed with their CVIA Investment!

Best Regards,

Wayne J.
