Brian, good article and I think he's right on about the chip makers. But, looks like he missed the boat about the chip equipment makers. Lam Research (LRCX) had not so great a quarter or outlook and took the other majors down with them (AMAT, KLAC, NVLS). Glad I'm just "in the chips" and not the chip equipments. Seems to me that, with the chip equipments so highly dependent on Asia and Japan (up to 50%), they are in serious doubt to perform as long as Asia has the flu. Am I missing something? While I'm ranting, I wish "they" would separate out the equipment makers from the chip makers. It's like, would you combine pizza ovens with pizza? Maybe the weakness in chip stocks today was derived a bit from the equipment weakness. We had experienced some good days from Intel, e.g., before today. Tony

We have had a very healthy market under with high employment. For the first time wallstreet and mainstreet are all participating and contributing to budget surplus.
