And the Democrats, being afraid of the Reds, adopted something like 23 of the Red Party's platform items and made them law and policy during the three terms of FDR. We have permanent infrastructure from that - what key things do we have besides multiple wars and hatred of the American brand abroad that are traceable to the R's?... very little. No great plans achieved - nothing of substance except a massive debt, empoverishing of the former middle-class, a socially reactionary court system and an immense private prison system and more people locked up than any country except China. I'm waiting.... tick-tock-tick-tock... where are their answers to the world's problems? Oh - enslaving people of color in camps of various kinds, eliminating fertility control by women, and ending health care and social security programs for everyone else and creating so much wealth transfer that it will be felt for decades. The only good news it that the "white majority" is nearing death and thanks to their lifestyles and behaviors will be dead soon and a footnote in history. If only we can get them out before they nuke us all.
