As I have mentioned a few times on this thread, there is a massive difference between what may be good for a company's longterm survival, and what the market believes makes financial sense.

I happen to believe that Visigenic was a very capable company, with some really neat technology and some excellent people. I also believe that Del Yocam is "on the money" with his assessment of the technology that Borland needs in order to survive. But I still have nagging doubts about the ability of these two beliefs to join together and make sweet music. It's nothing to do with logic, more to do with human nature and organizational chemistry. There are simply too many hard-wired mindsets to change in a very short time.
