No there aren't, especially today.

Cultural evolution has left them behind. And Trump and the newly exposed right wing has people fleeing the Republican party, thus the 2018 blue Wave,

I would remind you that women without college degrees voted for Trump by 26 points and today they favor the Democrats by < I think 6 or 8 points. That is a 32 point swing in just two years!

But even over the last 70 years there was a line politicians could not go over e.g. Goldwater scared people with his nutso right wing ideas and he LOST.

The southern racists tried to mount a racist party with George Wallace and they LOST.

Obama won a resounding election because of little Bush.

Today the Trumpster's are a very vocal minority, and raising lots of money, but will get crushed in 2020.

Trump is scaring the shit out of people and most want nothing to do with him and he is burning the Republican party to the ground.

Every night ALL of the comedians are trashing Trump hugely. And so every day people with even a hint of intellect or humanity are repulsed and leaving the Republican party.

Trumps approval rating hoovers around 40% and that is as high as it gets.

They want free stuff and "there" are fewer republicans than Democrats. Prior to Reagan a politician would say he supported new spending and it was implied he supported the taxes to pay for it. Reagan changed this. Now they want everything to be free (no new taxes) and they want tax cuts on top of it. The debt soars. Our fiscal year ended yesterday and so far there aren't any stories on the final deficit for 2019. I suppose I can go to the Treasury website and figure it out but you'd think someone in the media would have done it by now. Ah, I see why. The last three days aren't in the numbers yet. As of the 27th the deficit for 2019 is -1.0157363e+12, or -1.0157 trillion.
