Let's classify the newer iPhone (X, 11) models for what they are: luxury goods at premium prices. Paying a grand for a phone is a luxury when you can get an iPhone 7 or a well spec'ed Android for $250-350.

When the economy wobbles, or completely melts down, Apple will get dragged down to reality.

Not "fruitful"

World Economy Sends Up Flares as Manufacturing Slump Hits U.S.

I'm always amused when commentators mention core economic data that is bad...

they always seem to "balance" that with comments like "The consumer is still healthy."

Personally I don't think consumers maxing out thier credit cards balances out a trade deficit. That deficit is the biggie that eventually will bring a fast hard crash if its not controlled.

Its just that nobody knows when it will happen or what will trigger it. Markets rise slowly but crashes happen faster and faster.
