I used to show an old, scratched print of Fritz Lang's Metropolis that I found in the Berkeley Film Archives to my students at USF as an intro before delving into Taylorism. Chaplin's Modern Times - of course - preceeded Fordism. President Bill did not play with my marbles, BTW - and if he did, I would deny it : don't ask, don't tell. I am glad that you feel alive, Janko. Just knowing that makes me feel good, too. You would find me a dull character, my cyber-friend. I spend most of the time living in my head.
